At the the Memorial Service marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day Moshe Kantor, President of the European Jewish Congress, said that during the Holocaust years many lives could have been saved had the world community acted decisively and in time. He urged that the same mistake not be made today when Israel is threatened with nuclear extermination.
